Roberto Fars founded Cold Bore Long Range Precision Hunting LLC based on a love for hunting and teaching the sport to the next generation of hunters. He has been an avid hunter since his youth, and more recently in the extreme conditions of Wyoming. His background in shooting developed at an early age, including a military stint in the Italian army. He grew up in Italy, hunting upland birds and fishing the oceans and seas on the Italian coastline with his dad. Roberto and his father had a special bond as son and father over the course of many hunts together.
Roberto went on to medical school and became an internal medicine physician, primarily practicing in the hospital setting. However, Dr. Fars longed for more. He moved and immigrated to the United States, finding his way out west to Wyoming. All this to fulfill his dream of hunting the big game of North America, especially on horseback , In short, he wanted to become a cowboy in the likes of John Wayne. To this day, Roberto continues to hunt on horseback, and teaches his children and friends the same. Unbeknownst to Dr. Fars, he became a mountain man instead of a cowboy.
He has become an avid hunter not only in Wyoming, but on hunts throughout the United States. A signature hunt was in Alaska and Dr. Fars was able to successfully hunt bear and caribou. (Nathan still comments on the sweet Caribou tenderloin shared with Aiden, Roberto, Antonio, and Rhett at elk camp a couple years back.) He has hunted and shot bear, caribou, elk, mule deer, white tail deer, wild boars, and predators.
Roberto's heart remains with elk hunting, with its extreme challenges and awesome rewards. He has (and continues) to pass the legacy of hunting to his two sons, Rhett and Antonio, as well
as his many friends. He is married, although Riley may tell you she rarely sees him, for Roberto's call is to the mountains of Wyoming in the pursuit of the next hunt.
